Job Opening: Social Media Manager: Bilingual (English/Spanish)

We are looking for a relationship-focused individual to join our team as a social media manager.  In this role, you will lead social media strategy, provide creative direction to graphic design and video editing, schedule posts, and spend time engaging on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, X, and Reddit, according to the brand strategy.  You will have overall accountability for content quality, engagement growth, and followers across each social media account managed.  We support clients in the following industries:  legal, healthcare, cannabis, wine & spirits, hospitality, and home services.  We’re looking for someone with experience in multiple of our industries.

Please note that to be considered for an interview, your portfolio must include examples of client accounts you have grown in both English and Spanish and samples of your designs.

Your objectives will include:

  • Drive Results:  Demonstrate steady growth in reach and engagement for all client accounts managed.  Provide a positive ROI of client spend by obtaining leads from social media engagement activities.
  • Lead the work of the graphic designer and video editor for all social media marketing collateral.  You may also need to create content on your own.
  • Write compelling captions that encourage engagement and incorporate keywords, including geotags.  Explore long and short-form content.
  • Research high-performing hashtags by platform (they will differ) when onboarding a client, and then revisit every couple of months for each social media platform, evaluating results and adjusting as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director to align priorities for each client and with the Copywriter to align newsletter and blog content with social media.
  • Develop organic social media marketing campaigns through content.  Find the right balance of value-added, educational content with engaging calls-to-action that don’t appear pushy.
  • Analyze social media trends, client market trends, account results, and the competitor landscape. To be successful, the Social Media Manager must be aware of trends and what is working right now on each platform managed. This is one of the most important parts of the job; otherwise, we cannot help our clients’ accounts perform.
  • Prioritize work and resources across clients based on short- and long-term needs, and develop schedules by collaborating with designers and copywriters
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions with the Creative Director, maintaining strategic thinking to develop innovative and actionable initiatives in a fiscally responsible manner
  • Produce fresh, innovative work that translates complex ideas into compelling content
  • Share content with the Creative Director for QA, and then manage approval with the client

You have a minimum of 3 years of social media management experience and an associate or bachelor’s degree in an art, business, marketing, or communications-related field. To be successful in this role, you will need experience in graphic design, basic video editing, growing social media accounts, and working with clients. 

Job Type: Full-time – 40 hours per week.
