Your marketing email provider (Infusionsoft, Constant Contact, Mailchimp etc.) may have sent you alert emails recently regarding your email deliverability.  Please do not ignore these messages or you may end up spending a lot of time on your campaigns and newsletters only to find that no one receives them.  Gmail and Microsoft have made critical policy changes regarding accepting emails into customer's inboxes starting July 1st.
What the heck is DMARC you may ask?  According to Wikipedia, "Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance (DMARC) is an email-validation system designed to detect and prevent email spoofing. It provides a mechanism which allows a receiving organization to check that incoming mail from a domain is authorized by that domain's administrators and that the email (including attachments) has not been modified during transport.  It is thus intended to combat certain techniques often used in phishing and email spam, such as emails with forged sender addresses that appear to originate from legitimate organizations."  Basically, unless you're using a domain email (e.g. @zenchangeinc.com), Microsoft and Google have no way of verifying that you are who you say you are so they will assume the worst and block your email from delivery.  Yahoo and AOL have similar policies. So if your email comes from any of the domains: @gmail, @hotmail, @yahoo, @aol, @outlook, @live, or @msn or similar, and you plan on sending newsletters through ANY email service provider, your email simply will not get to the recipient's inbox.

What to do?

There are several companies who can provide you with a domain email address, including Google Business, GoDaddy and Bluehost.  If you're stuck, and a current client of ours then simply open a ticket and we'll take care of setting up your new emails and configuring the provider you use for your newsletters so you valuable messages will continue to go through!  But act quickly as there are only a couple of days remaining before your emails are blocked.
