Our focus is on small businesses and startups with budgets from the hundreds to thousands of dollars monthly.  For some, we provide a simple set of services such as managing their social media or SEO on a monthly basis. For others, we become their outsourced marketing department handling everything from designs to web, paid ads, writing, strategy and more.  Our team can plug into theirs as an almost seamless extension to their business.  The benefit is that we are a team of deep specialists able to provide a higher level of expertise than a smaller team of full time in house resources could.

As a marketing Account Manager, you will be an integral part of our team.  You’ll oversee a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities.  You’ll serve as the lead point of contact for your clients and be responsible for their satisfaction, as well as the results we deliver for them.  You will also be accountable for the P&L performance of that client.  You will assign and manage all tasks that we deliver for them, following up with delivery team members to ensure that we are delivering high quality services within their planned budget.  Your role is part relationship manager, part project manager, business developer and digital marketing strategy consultant.  You’ll have an entire team behind you, but for your clients, you will be the leader.

Our ideal candidate is someone easing their way back into a full time role, who is comfortable with a 20 hour/week minimum and who wants to grow to 30-40 hours/week.

We’re looking for someone ready to deliver digital marketing consulting, with excellent project management skills and a high EQ.  Ideally, the successful candidate will be comfortable developing the strategy behind small business marketing and business plans, as well as managing multiple priorities.  Our normal working hours are 9-5 EST Monday to Friday.  While there is no problem running errands in the middle of the day, we do expect you to keep an eye on Slack for internal emergencies so that your absence doesn’t slow the team down, as well as email and WhatsApp for urgent client requests.

This is a W2 position, and as a ZenChange Marketing employee you’ll receive fair compensation plus an attractive benefits package, even if you’re not quite full time.  We will provide training, one-on-one shadowing with our account managers, and the opportunity to work with a highly talented team that is truly making a difference in the lives and businesses of our clients.

At your core you are a creative writer.  You may even be in the midst of writing the next Great American Novel.  You are experienced at adjusting your style to match the “voice” of the clients for whom you write, and can cover industries as varied as legal, IT, healthcare and financial services.  You are organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.  You have a generally positive and upbeat outlook on life and while you may be a natural introvert, you are comfortable working with small virtual teams and letting others know the status of your progress. You are also comfortable speaking directly with clients about possible blog topics and making suggestions on what makes sense given their industry and marketing focus.  You love researching new topics and are able to work efficiently when preparing to write a piece.  You’re an expert when it comes to American English and rarely miss a trick when it comes to punctuation, spelling and grammar.

You have a U.S. based cell phone that can accept texts.  You’re willing to use our Slack and stay connected to respond quickly.  You are looking for a somewhat flexible schedule roughly based around EDT working hours where taking time during the day to drive kids or run an errand is no big deal but even if you’re away from your desk you are willing to respond to a text within about 10 mins – even if it is to tell us that you have stepped away and what time you’ll be available.  When you’re on an internal call without clients, background noise is not an issue, we know you’re still professional (we love dogs and kids).  However, client and prospect calls will require a quiet environment.

U.S. English is your mother tongue and your communication skills are exceptional.  This is an absolute requirement.

You’re a fun person to be around and you’re looking for a challenging opportunity that can be a bit of a pressure cooker at times with all of the hundreds of activities and requests we have going on at any given time, and our unwavering commitment to client service, but you’re excited to be part of a young, growing company and eager to learn from a very seasoned executive team.

You’re willing to start out on an hourly, part time basis but could see yourself quickly growing to 30-40 hours as you prove your value (this may only take a couple of weeks at the rate we’re growing).  We’re looking for someone to grow with us.
