As a marketing Account Manager, you will be an integral part of our team. You’ll oversee a portfolio of assigned clients, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities. You’ll serve as the lead point of contact for your clients and be responsible for their satisfaction, as well as the results we deliver for them. You will also be accountable for the P&L performance of that client. You will assign and manage all tasks that we deliver for them, following up with delivery team members to ensure that we are delivering high quality services within their planned budget. Your role is part relationship manager, part project manager, business developer and digital marketing strategy consultant. You’ll have an entire team behind you, but for your clients, you will be the leader.

Our clients are small business owners and startups who pour their life savings and their hearts and souls into their businesses. They come to us to help them to grow and this is a responsibility we take very seriously.
Our focus is on small businesses and startups with budgets from the hundreds to thousands of dollars monthly. For some, we provide a simple set of services such as managing their social media or SEO on a monthly basis. For others, we become their outsourced marketing department handling everything from designs to web, paid ads, writing, strategy and more. Our team can plug into theirs as an almost seamless extension to their business. The benefit is that we are a team of deep specialists able to provide a higher level of expertise than a smaller team of full time in house resources could.

ZenChange Marketing Account Manager
Mallory has 15 years of marketing experience, with particular expertise in digital marketing strategies, CRM marketing journeys and landing pages, web design and social media creative direction. She is a social media lifestyle influencer and animal activist with over 41,000 followers on Instagram. In addition to managing some of our strategic clients, she delivers strategy workshops, social media client coaching calls, and provides overall creative direction as our VP of Creative Strategy.
What It Takes To Be Successful
We provide a highly flexible work environment, but it’s not for everyone. Employees who have failed here have found that they need the structure and social connection of an office environment and have had difficulty prioritizing their time working from home. Because we’re virtual, some people have tried to work us into other job priorities. As an account manager we really need to be your main squeeze. Our ideal candidate is someone easing their way back into a full time role, who is comfortable with a 20 hour/week minimum and who wants to grow to 30-40 hours/week. Employees more accustomed to a corporate environment who lack the scrappiness of an entrepreneurial or startup culture also tend not to be a fit for the types of clients we serve.
We’re looking for someone ready to deliver digital marketing consulting, with excellent project management skills and a high EQ. Ideally, the successful candidate will be comfortable developing the strategy behind small business marketing and business plans, as well as managing multiple priorities. Our normal working hours are 9-5 EST Monday to Friday. While there is no problem running errands in the middle of the day, we do expect you to keep an eye on Slack for internal emergencies so that your absence doesn’t slow the team down, as well as email and WhatsApp for urgent client requests.
This is a W2 position, and as a ZenChange Marketing employee you’ll receive fair compensation plus an attractive benefits package, even if you’re not quite full time. We will provide training, one-on-one shadowing with our account managers, and the opportunity to work with a highly talented team that is truly making a difference in the lives and businesses of our clients. We also really enjoy working together. We even had Jungle Island bring a monkey to one of our Zoom meetings to break some of the tension during COVID!
